I don't know Matt. I might have waited until the report and
all the facts came out on this one first. I don't think they
know for sure who's fault it was.
The County said point blank that it farmed out rides to private companies in order to avoid liability issues. They washed their hands of safety oversight at Playland. Of course, the "fault" lies variously at the feet of many in the chain of oversight, but my pointing a finger at The County is based on fact, and is by no means jumping the gun, or a stretch.
It says right in yesterdays Journal News and todays blogs
"Officials remain tight lipped on findings in Playland Death". The investigation continues and findings won't be
ready until at least next week. What am I missing?

Pretty damning, if you ask me.
You expect people whose tic-tac-toe games don't end in a draw to oversee safety intelligently?
As stated elsewhere, the job culture has to change. To ensure the park's ongoing success, priorities have to shift from hiring people looking for Fun in the Sun! to "courteous, responsible, mature 16+ (or whatever the minimum age is) adults to oversee the safety and comfort of all park visitors in a professional manner…"
Ha ha! You caught the incompetent tic tac toe games!!!
