    Oh, that's not fair…

    There's more political will to spend megabucks on building new stadiums for the Yankees/Mets/Nets than on the roads/bridges that'll get you there. (Ok, maybe that statement isn't totally fair, either.)

    Don't forget the tax breaks that come with the free/heavily subsidised stadia, which are later used to blackmail the local govt. "Renew the tax breaks, or we'll up sticks to another town taking all our jobs and the associated revenue from secondary industry relying on the sport…"

    Reminds me of Far Eastern "Economic Development Zones"...

    But we digress; a cute, and apposite cartoon.
