Like Vietnam, only different…
Iraq’s only similarity to Vietnam is that our leaders are still trying to sell it to their public many years into the conflict. As if one more hackneyed cheerleading session is what is going to make a couple hundred million people come to their senses. And in his speech yesterday to the VFW, Bush was inexplicably still trying to sell the Vietnam war, saying that if we’d stuck to it, we’d have won. Just like Iraq. So simple.
I’m sure Vietnam Vets everywhere are saying ‘what does he mean, “we?”‘
