So surprising…
After posting the requisite cartoon pointing out the gross – and seemingly inevitable – hypocrisy of the “family values” set, I feel obliged to point out the fact that I actually support ex-Senator Craig. Republican’s pressured Craig to resign, despite the fact that he was a well-loved senator in Idaho, and gave his constituency exactly what they wanted/expected. Perhaps they saw the hypocrisy and saw the need to eject a man who doesn’t practice what he preaches. (Yeah, right.)
Now all you anti-big gov. Republicans, since when is it okay for government to entrap a man soliciting another man in a yucky airport bathroom? Gross though it may be, where is the crime there? Or is it that Senator Craig is just guilty of the crime of being gay? I honestly believe that most Republicans don’t really care about sexual orientation. So why has he been ridden out of town? I think this just underlines the damage the Christian Right has done to a formerly pro-small government Republican Party.

It's not so much what Craig did, it's the hypocrisy. After going after Clinton the way he did, he was caught with
his own shoe in his mouth.(now that's an idea for a cartoon)
We know the Democratic Party has a blind eye toward scamps
and scallywags. The Republican Party is supposed to hold itself to a higher standard. The Republican Party likes to be known as the party that cleans it's own house. Let's see
how long they drag their heels over getting rid of Sen. Vitters.
