Anyway, if you prevent someone from getting a driver license, you virtually GUARANTEE that they won't have insurance. If you let them obtain one, at least they have a chance of having proper insurance, etc. Oh, if you were to get in an accident, can you provide "proof of citizenship?" The problem is they are still not going to secure the borders and if you legalize 15 million of them you will only have another 15 million in a few years and it will never stop. You have to start somewhere and get a tough policy going or it will continue. What can i say. By the way, You missed a great Army game on Sat. night. Army beat Tulane 20-17 in overtime. I ate your burger and drank your pints HA HA. The offer is still open for any other home game. I go to all of them. I've got a cousin who goes once a year who works for a Mass. These guys are terrified of being rounded up, mistreated in detention centers and then booted, so of course they fly under the radar. Bad for them, bad for you and me. Denying them the ability to get a driver's license ensures and perpetuates their illegal, off-the-books existence. I know it sounds idealistic, but what if we offered them a fig leaf, a way to honestly clamber out from the shadows without draconian retribution? Oh and thanks for the offer re: West Point - Funny, I normally associate going to Army games with biting cold weather.
