Benevolent bug.

101907davies.jpg

I googled staphylococcus and it was just a bunch of dots under a microscope with a red background, so I drew what I now realize was a “Far Side” inspired bug/amoeba looking thing. Or a hairy potato. Such is the challenge of daily editorial cartooning. As for the issue, I believe an uninsured child is an uninsured child, and we shouldn’t be worrying about whether her parents are “poor enough” to not be able to afford health insurance or not before stepping in to help. After all, this is supposed to be a civilized country. The President’s ideological politicization of childrens’ health care is mind-numbingly rigid.
