The $2500 car!

This was one of those ideas where I couldn’t figure out a way to say what I needed to say without a whole ton of drawing. Even though I work pretty quickly (in case you couldn’t tell…) that mob of Nanos took a while to draw. When I was done, I wondered if anyone would even recognize the heaving pile on the left of the drawing as a bunch of cars at all.
On the subject at hand…I admire the Indian company, Tata (which is a leading bidder for Jaguar and Land Rover – a juicy colonial irony) for its new Nano car, which will almost certainly create millions of new drivers in the developing world, and will aid mobility – a key ingredient to economic growth. I just wish they had created a car that didn’t run on gas. I guess that’s now up to us, huh?
