By poor nations you must be refering to the majority of the good old U.S. of A
There is a big wheat shortage; flour costs are up up up. This is because much cropland is being converted over to corn production for ethanol so we can feed our SUVs.
Bread, pizzas… anything with flour will be getting more expensive, too.
WE SHOULD COUNTER OPEC WITH A AMERICAN GRAIN PRODUCERS ASSOCIATION & LIMIT CORN & GRAIN EXPORTS TO OPEC COUNTRIES. THEY CAN’T EAT THEIR OIL, & THE USA CAN PRODUCE MORE ETHANOL TO DECREASE INDEPENDANCE ON FOREIGN OIL.

Excellent cartoon. And so much truth is in it. It inspired me to blog about our use of food for gas. You can read it here.
It makes so much sense that the US government pays farm subsidies so farmers will not grow crops, doesn’t it?
HAS ANYONE NOTICED HOW NONE OF THE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES HAS MENTIONED THE SOARING ENERGY COSTS & HOW THEY INTEND TO DEAL WITH IT ? THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A SHORTAGE OF $2 A GALLON GAS, BUT NEVER A SHORTAGE OF $4 A GALLON GAS. THE OIL ROBBER BARONS THINK THE PUBLIC IS A BUNCH OF MORONS >> THEY’RE RIGHT !!!
