Heather, HE'S RUNNING FOR LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD! If he isn't certain he's the best person for the job, what the hell is he doing?

Furthermore Fordman, Yes, I am positive they came for him. There where many in the crowd carrying Obama signs and chanting his name. I think Germans care a wee bit more about politics than most Americans do.

And care to cite the bold claim that he snubbed troops in Germany like that? But I guess it doesn't matter, because I have information to refute it anyway. http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/snubbing_wounded_troops.html

Want to assert he snubbed troops in The Middle East too? Here's http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/print_did_obama_snub_us_troops_in_afghanistan.html

Fighting ignorance with information can be so invigorating!

Excited troops??? Obama didn't even visit the Army hospital in Germany because cameras weren't allowed in. Then he tries to blame the Pentagon. Look on military blogs and see what they think.

Crowds in Germany?? Did you know that there was a concert before and after his speech with free food and beer? You sure it was for him that the crowds came?

The man is a legend....only in his mind and the press.

You have drawn a very forlorn Obama - so popular and yet so lonely. Despite the excited troops, the crowds in Berlin, the warm reception by foreign leaders, I wonder that he does not feel very alone with the enormous expectations and the great big mess to fix.

I saw him speaking next to Sarkozy at a press conference where he talked very slowly that "a trip like this" and I thought what trip like what? confirmed him in those foreign policy directions that he had been considering taking prior to the trip - no epiphanies or change of heart here. I thought it sounded a bit pompous. God forbid he show a shade of uncertainty.

I think for his sake he should deflect some attention from himself, he risks looking all knowing, before it blows up in his face - and point it in the direction of people he will depend upon to get it right if elected.
