Oops! You seem to have posted a .tif image – not much use online!
Hmm…Wordpress won’t let me post a tif though…Sets off the idiot user error alarm bells.
Nonetheless, I’ve re-saved and re-posted the image, just to be sure. Let me know if it’s still no good.
Note to Republicans/Conservatives:
This country has had a Republican president during 20 of the last 28 years. It also has had a Republican-controlled Congress during 12 of the last 14 years. Either the media does not have a liberal bias like you think, or the media is absolutely irrelevant to the election outcome. Either way, stop your damn whining.
In my experience, I only ever hear of this ‘liberal media bias’ from talking heads in… wait for it… the MEDIA!
It’s just tired propaganda to me.
Maybe, just maybe, the left-wing media DOES have a liberal bias.
But I’m fairly certain the right-wing media is absolutely free of the taint of conservative bias. I mean, I heard a lovely granny from Florida saying how she knew what was what because she watched Fox, and they aren’t biased. So that’s that then.
And, yes, that cartoon seems to be working just fine now, thanks Matt! Will drop you a line – much news!
I like that you cross-hatched shadows into the GOP’s suit without making it look chunky. I have a bad habit of assigning shading zones and cross-hatching within them, which results in pale zones between the zones. Tracing your lines, a better alternative appears to me. I’ll try it out.
That’s just irresponsible Toaster. Don’t go encouraging him. We only want jingoistic sloganeering in these comments, haven’t you been paying attention?
Oh dear me…I have erred by using reality when discussing politics! The two are like matter and antimatter: big fiery collision when they interact. I do hope that everyone remains unburnt or at least only mildly singed.
Thanks Toaster. Does it really look like something so deliberate as cross hatching? I swear it’s only scribble. Honest.
I blew the image up in Photoshop and tweaked the contrast to cut out all the blurriness and splatter. Yes, indeed, it looks like cross-hatching, though not like it was done deliberately or carefully. Just messy. Your shading scribbles are often parallel to a couple of different angles, and that is what set me off down this path.
