Fashion Faux Pas

November
28

I drew this for a special editorial section today, in which four prominent local GOP leaders engage in some hard-core hand wringing while examining what went wrong this fall, and plot a course for electoral renewal. This drawing is in the center, anchoring the whole page and offers my own gentle take on their problems:

    My old Friend Matt:

By Social interolance you speak off
1.is it heather has two mommies
2.Is it the guide for grade school kids printed by gay& lesbian society for the joys of F I S T I N G yes that was the book they distributed to grade school kids?
3.Is it the Mandating that babies born alive after a failed abortion be left to die
4.Is it Abortion at 9 months “for the Health of the mother” when there is no such factor.
5.Is it refusing to admit how far we have come in race relations in this country and that it was REPUBLICANS that freed slaves and passed Civil Rights Bill that the Demorats ( AL GORE SR and SEN. KKK BYRD and BJ CLINTON’S friend Fulbright tried to filibuster)?
6.Give a man a fish he has a meal teach him to fish he has a job. But to the Demorats if he keeps coming to you for fish you will always have a job.
7.Then yes connectives will fight you every step of the way because AMERICANS DO NOT WANT THIS STUFF RAMMED DOWN OUR THROATS.

Spending yes to many Republican in Congress got the Domorat sickness of giving away the shop. When republicans tried to cut hold spending the Demorats said they are cutting funds for children. The truth was they were spending as much and more in most cases then last year only not as much as the Demorats wanted to spend,

Anti-environment YOU MEAN LIKE GLOBAL WARMING WHERE THERE ARE MORE IN THE FIELD WHO SAY MAN HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT IF IT EVEN EXIST. And like Al Gore who has made Millions selling his off sets > (just like the Catholic Church did in the Middle Ages) you can pollute as long as you give Al money?

War and torture yea. KILL THEM THERE NO HERE > and make them count their dead and their destruction not us here. And torture yea putting use woman panties on someone head is just like cutting an American head off on camera. In the first part you asked us to be more tolerance towards others so you’re saying that people that like to wear USE WOMAN’S UNDERWEAR
ON THEIR HEADS THIS IS NO GOOD?
Hell BJ CLINTON and Gov Pervert Spitzer Paid more for less/ and “good People in Hollywierd love that stuff.
If you are referring to water boarding, which worked and the US got a lot of useful info from it THESE PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO KILL US WAKE UP.
Other then this I love your writing

Time to return to the coop Pigeon; your medication has worn off.
Being angry is not going to elevate the party of the past to anything other than the party of the half-past.

  4. Pigeon

You mistake passion for America with anger. You Demorat Left wing Radical are the party of hate Racist and drugie . With your Savior the cokehead in chief Barry topping it off. I never have done drugs. BJ Clinton, Barry, Bill Ayers, all you Hollywierd idols have. And just like when your Party gave us Jimmy the Jew Hatter And BJ I cant keep my sipper up we will retake America on 1/20/13

    Pigeon:

    You’re a moron. Shut up.

  6. DisasterMan

That was kind of amusing. I mean, people have been pretty vocal on this site, but that sort of mono-vision ranting I normal only see in the hate mail section of a particularly offensive t-shirt company’s newsletters. And I only usually see such random use of capitalisation where people like to think they are ‘haXX0rS’.

I think it best to simply let it speak for itself. The writing that is – I’m not calling the author an it – not in the previous sentance anyway.

  7. Lalas

Not really sure why I’m bothering to reply to your screed, but here goes.

    1) what’s the big deal lots of kids have 2 mommies/daddies who wish to explain it to their children.
    2) Prove it, sounds like a Fox News legend to me.
    3) Totally false. A baby that survives an abortion and is born is a baby and cannot be killed. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2008/feb/06/obama-abortion-debate/
    4) WTF?!
    5) When the Repubs freed the slaves they were effectively what the Dem party is now.
    6) Taking care of the least among us did go a bit overboard. But your theory is tin-foil-hat conspiracy.
    7) I’m not sure what a connective is.
    8) Clinton was more fiscally conservative than Bush could ever dream of. There is a story at NPR.com about so many contractors for the gov’t that the GAO can’t keep them straight and we hav eno idea the cost or quality.
    9) If you believe humanity can take as much 100-million-year-old carbon as we have and jam it into the system free of consequence… you’re an idiot. Also ripping off the top of a mountain and dumping into the stream next door is patently ANTI-environmental.
    10) Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. PERIOD. Due to our engagement there Afghanistan has been neglected which is where the Saudis that attacked us were trained.
    11) What useful info did waterboarding give us? And prove it, no parroting a White House line about “it’s classified”.

Such extremism may reflect you, but the majority of Americans are much more centrist, hence the R’s lost BIG TIME in 2008.

  8. Lord Baltimore

The most puzzling/frustrating aspect of American politics today: the bulk of the country is fairly centrist, yet all political coverage seems to focus on the extremes. It makes for an awfully contentious citizenry.
