Governor Paterson is catching some heat for giving his aides’ hefty pay raises. I’m sure they deserve them. But so did a lot of the state workers who are being asked to take pay cuts, or worse. As Saturday Night Live has gracelessly demonstrated, when it comes to humor and criticism, the governor’s sight-impairment is off-limits. His tone-deafness, however, is fair game.

Paterson’s sight impairment shouldn’t be off base. If he were fat, would you draw him thin so as not to offend his girth? If he had big ears, would you draw them smaller?
Clearly, sighted or not, he’s not seeing the big picture. This man is, perhaps, a bigger embarassment than the one he replaced, and that’s going some! At least with Spitzer, you knew who he was screwing…or, found out through a wiretap, arrest and press release, but that’s another story. Here, but for a watchful media, Paterson and crew keep on keepin on … Frankly, I’m sick of it.
Hey Matt:
Here is a good topic for tomorrow: Senator Burris, the Holier-Than-Though one.
Mat one thing:
If the Gov sight is an issue should the man be holding a written sign? PC POLICE BADGE NUMBER 169 HERE>
To “Bob The Builder”—-
You make a good point, but perhaps it would have been stronger had you not mis-used the phrase….It’s not “the Holier-Than-Though”; it’s “Holier than thou”...
To “PC Badge 169”—- you also make a good point. Will we ever stop being the country of incredibly thin skinned and perpetually offended?
To Top Gunner: you have proved what? Rise above it
I think an iron cage fight between the Gov and the wild Chimp would settle a few scores in NY. For one thing, the loser would finally have a little respect
