Except the bags of money are coated in kerosene.
it isnt money really. just strips of multicolored paper.
I think they got it from a few million monopoly games.
Here’s a question: ever notice that almost everyone in office is wealthy? i mean a millionaire or better if not reallly close.
These are the people fighting to make sure the working class continues to be taxed and taht the rich (them) dont pay anything higher. For once I would like to see candidates in upper offices not filthy rich.
Anyone remember this quote: “Politics is the refuge of bored millionaires”.
Also: The rich get richer off the poorer.
Hi Matt:
I kind of missed seeing your Wednesday & Thursday cartoons….So I used your old one to fill in the gap, sort of…..Enjoy:

Fellow Matt Davies fans:
Matt’s silence over the past week has me worried. Not that he broke something else in his body, but something more ominous, something that has been happening to hundreds of thousands of other American workers.
Anyone have a degree of separation from Matt?
bashea – I’m still here!
I apologize for the dead air, but Gannett asked/told every employee (including the CEO, publishers and exec. editors…) to take an unpaid week off in the first quarter.
So I have been on “furlough,” which meant I had to promise to do no work for my employer (including posting to this blog) for one week. Felt very weird, but I suspect not as weird as joining the unemployment lines.
So rather than lounging around sipping margaritas, I used the week as an opportunity to work on some interesting projects I have in the pipeline.
Aww…Who am I kidding? I have three kids. I NEVER get to lounge around sipping margaritas.
I have 3 kids as well. and there’s always a little time for a few drinks.
Matt – Tell your employers they fracked up my week by depriving me of your ‘toons/blog.
Frack ‘em.
But I hope you enjoyed the extra time with the family!
Matt, if only you had a place where you could have posted a message saying you were taking a week off… sort of like, i dunno, a blog?
