Drag on the Economy

Fortunately I didn’t feel like I needed to label the dragon. I hate labels, which can be a necessary component when indulging in the metaphorical genre of political cartooning.
There was a great letter in the NY Times yesterday suggesting that the AIG bonus anger explosion was Obama’s Katrina moment. That may or may not be true, but Tim Geithner, with his puzzling display of overt niceness to failed bankers, is apparently experiencing his “Brownie” moment.

I think all of congress got caught with their hands in the till.
and just rememer Bush did the same thing last year gave AIG bailout money with no limit either.
2 wrongs dont make a right. but this time there was verbage on how it could be spent but once again. the lawyers found the loopholes.
Hey Matt, hope all is well and you found something to do with your enforced absence.
I don’t want to talk politics today, I just want to say I LOVE your dragon. He is so cool – old, grizzled, and slightly bemused!
Pres Barry & Treasury Sec TAX CHEAT Geithner knew all about the Payments. \
Geithner was there when AIG spelled out what the company was on the hook when the First and second Bailout took place. Either Sec Al Capone, I mean Geithner or Pres Barry made corrupt Sen Dodd change the Langue to include all bonus payouts in contracts dated before Feb 11,2009.must are made.
Now Pres Barry is saying blame me. WELL YES YOU appointed the fool and you told us he was the only one who could do the job. I GUESS NOT.

What’s the difference between an AIG bonus and a congressional pay raise?
The difference between an AIG bonus and a congressional pay raise is that Congress would never tax the raise.
TG – well said.
Congress doesnt pay taxes to begin with…
