Okay…I realize that I am saying nothing we don’t already know here. And I didn’t even manage to avoid using that lowest form of wit – The pun. But somehow the confluence of creative events in my head failed to prevent me from indulging my most juvenile of inner smirks, and I went ahead and inked it.

Wow, you completely miss the point with your cartoon yet AGAIN. No mention of the fact that Specter was trailing in Republican primary polls by 30 points to his potential challenger, Pat Toomey. The cartoon would have been better if you put Specter in place of the elephant and had the words “opportunist”, “self-preservation” and “betrayer” laid out on the papers before him. The guy wouldn’t have survived the Republican primaries next year. Do you actually read the news before you draw pap like this or do you just watch Keith Olbermann and the rest of the left-wing America haters at MSDNC?
Yep. And Specter said he wasn’t going to “allow his 29 year career to be brought down by PA GOP primary voters.” He’s an opportunist no doubt. But the point of the cartoon is that the GOP is now only one Al Franken away from being virtually powerless in Washington. Not good, I believe, but something they brought upon themselves by adhering to simplistic right-wing extremism and waving tea bags.
Hey AJ – bet you’re pretty excited about Souter’s decision to retire. I wonder who Obama will appoint? Of course, you probably thought Souter was a pinko. A tip for you … bitterness and anger will get you and your party nowhere, as Matt’s cartoon so colorfully illustrates. Republicans have embarrassed themselves for a long time now and made their own party a joke. Maybe try simmering down and offering thoughtful opinions instead of mouthing off like a spoiled child. You sound like a ninny, as so may claiming to be “conservatives” do.
Hey Lord Baltimore,
I sound like a ninny? Who’s the one with the name Lord Baltimore? You write your posts in a cape?
Aside fom my last sentence, all I did WAS offer facts. You called me a “ninny”, embarassment” “spoiled child”, “bitter” and “angry”. I didn’t see one fact YOU presented except some opinion about how embarrassing the republican party has become. Not a fact, my friend.
”...left-wing America haters”
AJ:
YOU hate America!
YOU hate God!
YOU hate African-Americans!
YOU hate Jews!
YOU hate women!
YOU hate children!
YOU hate puppies!
See how easy it is?
Huh?
AJ – No cape, but I do wear a wig.
Where are your facts? Your poll numbers? Your suggestions for the cartoon? Great stuff.
Do you deny that the Republican party is an embarrassment? The last election offered plenty of proof of that. It’s a fact, as is the fact that you are a bitter ninny.
>> AJ: “Huh?” < <
Exactly.
