The Pile

May
22

Every so often a guy like Dick Cheney comes along, not just to give cartoonists and satirists easy days at the office, but to test the collective tolerance for the pureness of the high principles of our democracy. So like all antagonists he has his place, which is easy to say now that he isn’t in charge of US foreign policy. And his country’s response to his call to fight a war against our founding principles? Thankfully, it appears America has “other priorities.”

What a shameless waste of meat Cheney is. I thought it was treasonous to dispute the sitting president… that’s what he and Georgie told me for 8 years.

Actually, awe for the absolute pre-certified legality of each executive decision is a creation of the modern press, in concert with a duped Democratic base, casting about for ways to retroactively criminalize the GW Bush regime.

Our greatest presidents, like Washington, Jackson, Lincoln, and the first Roosevelt operated both outside, and above the jot-and-tittle of Congressional writ, and succeeded in their national mission(s) by virtue of being so free, and therefore empowered to adjust, to win, and to place our common weal in a position of victory.

Oh, now I must be scaring you.

    Sorry, Matt.

An interesting assessment of torture by one of the most successful interrogators in the US military:

If BULLDOG & MARINADOG need any help with the big words let me know.

  4. BULLDOG

bashea did you run out of Q-tips while allowing the poop to
    drip out of your ears?

  5. artisan33

Without even reading it, let me just state that anything appearing on Huffington is the most vicious anti-majoritarian drivel, and totally worthless.

Now I’ll go read it, and let you know how accurate my instincts were.

  6. artisan33

    OK…... I read it.

Mr. Alexander is promoting a book.

    Need I say more?

  7. bashea

    artisan33: “Need I say more?”

You mean, like a useful, intelligent comment on the actual content and what he had to say about torture? Yeah, I guess not.

So, any book that is promoted is worthless? Any author that promotes his book is invalid? I’ll doubt that will be your stance when your heroes George Bush & Dick Cheney come out with their memoirs of what a great job they did.

And why do you even bother to post here? Doesn’t Rush Limbaugh and Anne Coulter have forums you can post your vicious, anti-majoritarin drivel on?

  8. artisan33

OK, an underling turncoat, who worked about 1000 of the low level (easy) cases, decides to pander to the press, and writes a pop-psych book, and in that book states (without any evidence) that he was “Much More Successful” than the waterboarders, who needed 87 sessions to wring the names of the co-conspirators out of the Ringleader.

    Ho-Hum.

    Fact:

We uncovered all the conspirators, and they all ended up dead or in Gitmo. So there’s no way Mr. Alexander can claim to be “More Successful” than 100% success.

So what’s it all about Alfie?

Its about promoting a book, on Huffington.

Sure took YOU in, didn’t it?

  9. artisan33

And never believe for an instant that the momentary 51% of the last election is any indication of America’s majority wishes. Huffington is scamming you, with anti-Bush nonsense.

Try to get it through your head… Bush is retired.

Now somebody needs to face down Ahmedinajad & Kim Jong Il.

    HMMMM. Let me see….

    Hillary Billary ?
    (don’t make me laff)

    Coolstud Barry Obama?
(He already de-negotiated his position into the ground by giving up all his hole cards, and the bad guys know this, even though you don’t).

  10. artisan33

By the way, I’m not a Republican, and did not support Bush or Cheney.

  11. artisan33

And I post here, because it is my First Amendment right to do so.

  12. bashea

artisan33: ”...that book states (without any evidence)...”

    Oh, so you’ve read it?

artisan33: “Fact: We uncovered all the conspirators, and they all ended up dead or in Gitmo. ”

Oh, so Osama Bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri, Mullah Mohammed Omar, and all the handlers & money people are dead or in Gitmo?

    You are truly delusional.

artisan33: “Sure took YOU in, didn’t it?”

I have a degree in psychology. I studied interrogation and it’s effects and effectiveness on the human mind. For interrogation to be effective, and render valid, useful information, the technique used must be tailored for the psyche of the particular individual.

artisan33: “And never believe for an instant that the momentary 51% of the last election is any indication of America’s majority wishes.”

Funny, you didn’t utilize that argument after the 2000 & 2004 elections.

artisan33: “Bush is retired. Now somebody needs to face down Ahmedinajad & Kim Jong Il.”

And did Bush do this during his 8 years? Apparently not.

I can just hear you as a kid after you made a mess of the kitchen: “Well, mother, what are YOU going to do to clean up my mess?”

artisan33: “And I post here, because it is my First Amendment right to do so.”

Just as it is the right of the KKK, skinheads, and all the other racists, bigots, etc. But, we’re not interested in their bulls**t either.

“I’m not a Republican, and did not support Bush or Cheney.”

Well, you’re supporting them now, which makes you SMELL like a Republican: the stench of blood-stained cash.

Regardless of which political slant you may have, everyone should be able to agree with the fact that Red Alert dominated their turf as a crew, notwithstanding the lack of help from Slats, but nevertheless in battle they were undefeated.

    Peace

    Doc S
