Good riddance.
She was hounded by the liberal media. You didn’t see that moron Biden being hounded. Notice how they’ve put a muzzle on Biden and obama’s racist wife. Now they need to put a muzzle on Obama who we now know spent to much time with a racist preacher.
She was hounded because she was a relative no-name vice presidential candidate who’d previously received almost no national attention. Then she started mouthing off about keeping an eye on Russia and other nonsense while winking and spinning together incoherent speeches.
Biden’s been around forever. It was well-established that he was a blowhard.
When she started vomiting awful phrases like “real America” accompanied by her ridiculous theatrical wink, is when she went down in flames. Ann Coulter gets to speak that way because she is an entertainer. VPs on the other hand are supposed to represent all Americans. Biden speaks his mind (for better or worse), but has not sought to divide the country with ideologically extreme twaddle.
I’m stunned how any person can think she is anything other than an absolute idiot. But heck… I thought the same thing ‘bout Dubya.
Dear Matt,
I had kind of felt you were missing a lot of Americans, and their most cherished culture items, by way of being fatally “Euro”.
Now you’ve proven my former hunch.
By calling the religious beliefs of tens of millions of born-in-the USA Christians “ideologically extreme twaddle”,
You have earned for your very self, your new name:
“Euro-Boy”
enjoy!
Oh, and by the way, the Palin woman does NOT have Richard Nixon’s nose…. so why do you depict her with it?
I personally think she looks great. Her imitator from 30 Rock was a homely drone. No comparison!
With Obama elected just on skin tone alone,
and a weight lifter running California, why not elect America’s first beautiful president?
Lol – C’mon Artisan. I’ve been called far worse. Besides, Europe has its fair share of right-wingers. Next you’ll be demanding I show my Birth Certificate.
As usual Matt, you are off the mark. If you actually listened to why she resigned, it was because of the organized campaign to bankrupt her with frivolous ethics complaints which cost her half a million dollars and no reimbursement from the state, not to mention all the time it took away from governing. I believe it is now something like 18 ethics complaints and every one of them has been dismissed. But you have never been one to let the facts get in the way.
I hope she goes away, although her comedic impact will be surely be missed. If you haven’t caught Shatner’s rendition on Conan of her speech, please do; it’s gold.
And “euro boy” is one of the lamest nicknames I’ve heard in a long time. Kindergartners come up with zingers better than that one.
Obama is making a pretty good run at Palin with his recent series of “we need to lower the costs of health care by covering more people” speeches. Far more outrageous than the “I can see Russia from my house” comments that were so scrutinized by the media. At least Palin wasn’t suggesting we euthanize old people to lower health care costs.
We have in the White House perhaps the coldest, most compassionless President in the history of our country, and yet all the media wants to do is trash Palin.
The Left is massively AFRAID of the reactions Palin gets at rallies. Why not attack Huckabee and Romney, the other conceivable Republican candidates for 2012? Because they don’t scare the left like Palin does.
AJ you are right, she scares the panties off the leftists. That is why they keep trashing her even while claiming she is irrelevant. One thing though, she never said she could “see Russia from her house,” that was the moron Tina Fey. Palin’s actual quote is that you can see Russia from the coast of Alaska, which is a true statement.
Joe, you are forgetting why she said you could see Russia from the coast of Alaska. She said that gave her foreign policy experience. That’s like saying I could play center field for the Yankees because i watch them on TV. Give it up, she’s a moron.
She’s fun to trash because she’s a comical figure – built for Saturday Night Live. And she scares the panties off more than lefties – of all those fence sitters who eventually went for Obama, I’d bet plenty gave up on McCain when he picked Palin, or at least after she started giving her wink-riddled speeches.
Nah, McCain hurt himself by how he handled the economy. He was horrible. McCain was polling ahead until his stupid decision to suspend his campaign to vote on TARP.
Yah. I still keep in touch with a sizable group of my college buddies – largely conservative-leaning upper class professional males – and while many were nervous about Obama’s economic and social agendas, they were terrified by the thought of Palin representing the country an the international stage in any way (particularly following so closely behind the Bush era), and more so by the thought that she’d be that proverbial “heartbeat away” from the presidency, given McCain’s age and health.
The dissidents in Venezuela,Cuba and Iran are probably pretty nervous now about how Obama is cozying up to those oppressive regimes.
But good thing Tina Fey set you straight on who to vote for Lord Baltimore.
Ms. Fey got an awful lot of credit for climbing on a comedic gravy train. Like Chase doing Ford, Lovitz doing Dukakis or Ferrell doing W.
Too easy – Palin was a joke all on her own.
Venezuela, Cuba and Iran? What headway did we make with those oppressive regimes with Dick Cheney and other hard-liners running the show?
Not much, admittedly. But I’d rather have our President on the side of the people opposed to those guys then cozying up to them.
More importantly, how does one become a lord?
Is that a status Matt grants to frequent posters on this site? Or do you have to work you way up through duke, king, etc.? Do I have the hierarchy right?
I figure I’ve earned at least earl status by now, no?
Titles are easy to come by in Baltimore, land of clean politics. Our good mayor – Sheila Dixon – has recently been indicted for theft and perjury. Send her a check for $100 I bet she’d let you skip past Earl up to Duke.
