Could have been “I look up to you…and thanks..”
I would love to live in your black and white world, Matt, where Republicans are the epitome of evil and those who seek to expand government are the crusaders for all that is noble.
Why’d you leave England then if health care is so bad here that it requires an incompetent government to takeover one-fifth of the US economy? Am I to believe you are such a proponent of centrally planned bereaucratically dictated health care that you traversed the Atlantic to fight for the opportunity to opress free peoples and gave up your awesome health care to do so?
Seriously, dude. We’re all for fixing whatever problems there are in health care as far as access, but the reason we have most of those issues now is because government has already gotten their hands on a good part of it. Now they are loking to finish the job and when they do, there will be nowhere for a person to go where they can at least have some control over their health care decisions. And if you believe Nancy Peolsi can be the architect of a thriving, economically efficient health care system, I have some unicorns I’d like to sell you.
Honestly, I just don’t know if Obamacare will be a plague, or a benefit. My corporate retirement system ( I’m not retired just yet) sends me a nastygram every year saying “The Corporation may terminate retiree health benefits at any time”. Some justice for 30+ years of investment, right? Obama starts to look like a saviour, in comparison.
Its just that I’ve seen the 60 minutes segment on Medicare fraud, where they explain how the medicare law stipulates that all claims ( even fraudulent) be paid in 30 days, regardless, and any investigations into righteous/not righteous claims comes years later, but probably never. This creates a MONSTROUS false claim subculture, helping nobody, bleeding the USA, dismantling America for an over-riding criminality agenda not yet addressed by Obama, by the Democratic party, by Acorn, or by hundreds of offshore interest groups intent on bilking, milking, and taking the USA down.
Is it true? Is the sheer money scam behind most of the “Progressive Movement” bogus? You may not have to cop to this position, But it may require you to at least prove it false, before continuing to dismiss teabagger warnings.
IF IT IS TRUE….. an entirely different agenda becomes the primary American task , in 2010.
Rooting out Falsehood.
Root out bogus social assertions.
Root out bogus inequality claims.
Root out bogus sustenance scams.

Matt – Democrats have the Presidency and majorities in both Houses of Congress. How, exactly, are the Republicans forcing their will on the country?
FYI, Recent AP poll shows public support for PelosiCare drops like a rock when the questions are worded clearly.
When asked if people should be able to get health insurance, most people say yes. This is the source of poll numbers that Matt likes to use in his cartoons showing 72% support for some vaguely defined ‘public option’.
When asked a properly worded question, like if they support requiring people to buy insurance or face fines and/or jail time, support drops.
When asked if they want a mandatory pre-existing condition clause which will make everyone’s cost increase, support again drops.
Looks like no one likes having to actually pay for the free lunch they thought they were supporting, huh, Matt?
Here’s the link to the AP poll – take a look, you might learn something…
