after a while, you have to wonder…there arent going to be any spending cuts, Matt, these lost people are dogs and we must feed and clean them from birth till death. Open your eyes Mr. News Reporter/Commentator…have you ever thought seriously about this Matt? Trash is trash, why don’t you adopt a few trashies and give us a report 6 months later..??
While I don’t share TJ’s apparent contempt for the “lost people who are dogs” who must be fed and cleansed from birth to death”, it is unlikely that there will be any real trimming of the budget in Albany. It all makes for quite good theater, however.
Denial of a problem is the biggest obstacle to resolving it. In Albany, there seems to be an inability to connect with the reality that the economy has gone south and that the peoples’ coffers (tax revenues) are not unlimited.
“Oh, I’m a lumberjack and I’m okay/I sleep all night and I work all day…” New Yorkers, don’t grieve so. At least you’re not in Arnie’s “Kolleeyuhfornyuh.” Trust me, it would be FAN-TAZ-TEEK! Our state ledge bickers over tax increases and spending cuts while Arnie threatens to cut stuff while still spending and does neither and we’re up to our earlobes in crimson ledger ink…
