$550 million isn’t slicing off the tip of Goldman Sachs’s pinkie, Matt (who wouldn’t miss a part of a finger?), it’s merely as trimming of the hair on the company’s knuckles.
A more accurate metaphor would have been the SEC carefully and gently paring off a bit of fingernail, not chopping off the tip of a finger. Chopping off the tip of a finger would cause actual pain and bleeding.
550 million? I think the 72 billion aig gave them should pay for it. so really nothing happened. The Guillotine judge never showed with the blade.
as the lore goes. if the blade didnt show up. you were set free.
Thanks all. I agree with the slice of the finger tip being wincingly harsh…But I was functioning on the presupposition that reptiles can grow stuff like that back.
I agree with all of the above. Or in the words of Sarah Palin when asked about anything from which newspapers do you read to who is your favorite founding father “all of them”! Nothing seems to have changed. Very sad but grateful for Matt Davies!

Brillant execution- no pun intended.
