I would say, that the single most inflamatory tax levied last year was the MTA tax on payroll in outlying counties, like Rockland and Orange. This is a bitter pill and will spill into elections and discussions for years and years. The MTA legacy of waste and wasteful spending burns at the feet of every for profit, hard working, sole proprietor and business in their “area”. I once argued that these bureaucrats just “dont get it”, but a wise friend enlightened me…”they get it…they just dont care”
Heir Bloomberg doesnt want people to work in manhattan. Let alone live in it or work.
He wants taxis to rule. Mr subway allows the MTA to rule the roost. its disgusting and if he cirumvents the system again to run for re-election serves manhattan and the Boroughs right.
