Spot on! It must’ve been that (lengthy) vacation… clean out the old cobwebs.
Rightwingers who get all cranky about Matt’s dead on cartoon need to hurt their eyesight with Michael Moore’s “SiCKO.” In the last portion of his rightfully angry documentary, he’s shown taking some 9/11 first responders who have been made ill by their rescue/recovery efforts first to Gitmo (because our detainees get excellent healthcare!), only to be denied. So he winds up going to (gasp!) Havana where these heroes get help ASAP, NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
And while we’re at it, all these morons getting their flags in a bunch about the so-called “Ground Zero mosque” forget a few convenient facts: (1) Innocent Muslims, as well as innocent Jews, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists &c &c died on Sept. 11, 2001 at the WORLD TRADE CENTER. (It was called “World Trade Center” for a reason.) The Muslim group who wish to upgrade their own property some two blocks north of Ground Zero HAD NOTHING TO WITH 9/11, and in no possible way ever supported or condoned this act of pointless, hateful terror. (2) The First Amendment applies to EVERY citizen in this country, not just the religion YOU happen to like. If you don’t like these facts, feel free to relocate to a country where the First Amendment has no meaning and bitch all you like there!

YES THE BILL SHOULD HAVE BEEN PASSED. JUST LIKE THE MILITARY AID BILL AND BENEFITS SHOULD BE PASSED, AND THE MILITARY VOTES SHOULD BE COUNTED UNLIKE WHAT RACIST HOLDER AND BARRY ARE ONCE AGAIN TRYING TO DO..

Manhattan is a big island surely another place can be found…..
And why is it that A cross cannot be put up at or near ground zero but…….
And we will all back it as soon as the Muslims let a Christian church or Jewish temple be built in Mecca….
Heck If you get caught with a Bible or praying your subject to arrest by these great Peaceful people….

You know you’re right, we should all not allow freedom of religion like many middle eastern countries. You know what else we should do? We should have incredibly unstable governments and commit many human rights violations. For god sakes, lets try and aspire to be a little better than that.
